Advanced Reading Materials (Three Weeks for Full Working) = No Writing Required

Here is a list of materials that you can access at your own convenience. It is expected that the First Group of items will be accessed by everyone and the at least two items from the Second Group. 

First Group (after reading each of the following, give me a 50-500 word ReAcShon in 10 Min):

1. Dr. Faustus (Summary and Discussion) Link

4. Philosophy of Technology: An Introduction (Ch: 4, 5, 11) Link Here
5. Finite Element Method (Wiki Link)
6. Understanding Finite Element Method (YouTube Link Here)
7. Set Theory and Philosophy (Link for Download) Read only first 3 Chapters (Pages 3-53)

I shall give brief intro for each of the above AFTER you are done with readings. The TOTAL Number of Pages in the Seven Items would probably be somewhere between 300-400 pages. All these can be done in a Two-Day sitting with 5+5 = 10 hours. So, it is expected that you will start immediately.

Second Group
I am putting Three Books here. You will be required to work on any ONE item. After you select the book, I can send you the Full Book.

1. Mechanics of Materials (Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) = read any Two Chapters
   
2. Fundamentals of Engineering Thermodynamics (Chapters 2, 5, 6) = read any Two Chapters
3. Thomas Hardy and History (Full Book if Possible) Otherwise, Just Part 1 (Page 19-82)
